MS Security Updates Released

Microsoft released 7 security bulletins today that addressed 19 vulnerabilities. The highest severity rating for each of the security bulletins is rated critical.

There are active exploits for several of these vulnerabilities. A description of one of such exploits was posted by Priveon partner Trend Micro on April 17, 2007. The malware WORM_VANBOT.GC is actively exploiting the Windows DNS RPC Interface Vulnerability MS07-029. The remaining vulnerabilities can all be used by malware as attack vectors.

These zero day events highlight the need for proactive protection as well as a good patch management program. To learn how Priveon and our partners can help, as well as view white papers on some of the latest threats, visit our website at www.priveon.com.
